Cello Ensemble

The Mello Cellos includes my cello students from several schools and universities. We have a great time playing a wide range of music: from Mozart and metal in concert halls to Christmas music in the local grocery store.

This cello ensemble reflects my preference for cooperation over competition. Although I am happy to help students prepare for outside auditions, within my own studio I don't encourage competition. I prefer to give my students opportunities to make music together, and to experience the joy of joining their instrumental voices to make something greater than each can do individually - to create beauty that nurtures the spirit.

I believe that music is most rewarding when played with other musicians, not against them.
